Challenges of Others (Originally posted on Facebook Sep 9, 2012)

I wonder if sometimes when challenges come into our lives, if the primary reason is not necessarily so we will learn something, rather that someone else will have the opportunity to learn something through their service to us in our time of need. I was able to go on a poker run fundraiser this weekend for a 2 year old with leukemia. I don't know that this child is supposed to learn anything from this experience. However, I know I learned more about myself through this act. I'm grateful for the chance I had to be a part of something so much bigger than myself. And who knows, maybe the next challenge I face in life won't be for me as much as someone else who is looking to learn something new as well.
