The sun is shining outside today
The sky is a deeper blue
The grass and trees shine so green
The breeze is perfect too.
I get upon my iron steed
And hear the rumble low.
Pulling away from my little house
Just happy to get up and go.
It's not that far for me to go
To reach my final stop
But in those precious moments few
I feel the world just drop.
It drops away and disappears
All worries blown away.
And for a moment I find peace
Before I start my day.
Though ups and downs will always come
As the days pass one by one
There's comfort when I lay me down
After the day is done
Through chaos and in times of peace
I know that I'm okay
And I always have my iron steed
To help me get away.
