I believe that finding inner peace with oneself will lead to greater instances of happiness in this lifetime. When Christ was on the earth and ready to be crucified, he didn't say to his disciples, "My happiness I leave with you," but rather he stated, "My peace I leave unto you." When we find the inner peace Christ was talking about, the rest of the trivial things in life and the burdens we face become lighter and pass more quickly thus giving us more time to experience the happiness we seek.
