There is an eerie silence that envelopes a home when guests who have been there are suddenly gone once again. When living alone for so long one tends to get used to the quiet that can be found throughout a home. After that silence is broken, if even just for a few days, and then one is returned to it again, the silence is almost magnified to point it reaches into your soul and reminds you that man is not meant to be alone in this life. This reminder is both a sweet whisper of hope for more opportunities in the near future and a bitter reminder of circumstances we don't have control over.
