Musical Connection

It was just over 4 years ago when I wrote and recorded my song which follows the stages of what I believe to be a good relationship. In the beginning love is brand new and exciting and a couple seems to be in their own little world.  They then move to creating a family and adding other players into their life stories. Finally at the end of life as a parting happens for a brief moment in time until rejoined together again on the others side.  Throughout the song, and echoed in the chorus, is the idea of love as a language spoken between two hearts who have discovered the joy that comes from that secret and unspoken connection.

I have also been listening to quite a bit of music that includes some close and pure harmonies.  It got me to thinking about the similarities between these two things.  In music with close harmonies, each part is a unique and separate entity in and of itself.  You can pull each part away from the others and it can stand on it's own as a piece of music.  Not always fancy or melodic and yet still musical.  You can have the main melody standing on it's own sounding a familiar tune to the ear.  This is very much like the idea behind my song and the connection we can find when our spirits and hearts are able to talk with one another through the language of love.  Each of us has a wonderful tune inside of us just waiting for the accompanying harmony to be found.  When you find the person you want to share your life with you practice and work at the relationship until it becomes a beautiful duet.  As this duet is worked on further parts come together adding more harmony to the song of your life. If crafted well and worked out, the harmonious life which is created is a true work of art.

With the new year beginning and people thinking of the future and what they would like to do, I hope and pray I can continue to work on my inner melody so if and when the time comes, I will be ready for the second part of my life's song.  And I hope the world will take chances throughout their busy lives to check on the music playing throughout their souls.

  2. Most teachers simply tell students what to practice. However as an adult who is almost always pressed for time, I need to know that I am improving every time I sit behind the piano or get on the drums.best ad da convertor
